Celebrating Independence Day on July 4th is about a lot more than fireworks -- it is also a time to celebrate our democracy. And nothing is more democratic than voting!

HeadCount, a national non-partisan voter registration organization will join the National Archives’ 4th of July celebration by providing national voter registration services on site. Since 2004, HeadCount has registered nearly 600,000 voters at over 7,500 concerts, festivals, and community events.

An overwhelming majority of those who register to vote with HeadCount make it to the polls for local, state, and federal elections. If you’re already registered, you can sign up for election alerts or to volunteer. Join their movement when you stop by the #ArchivesJuly 4 tent on July 4th, or text VOTER to 40649 today!

With presidential and state primary elections starting in February 2020, and many local and state elections this year, now is the time to make sure your registration is up to date. Click here to check your voter registration status.
